The Society for Indian Institute of Rural Management has started
St. Xavier Teachers Training College (Co-Education) at Phagi,
Jaipur from the academic session 2005-06. The Society is already
running an engineering college (Stani Memorial College of
Engineering and Technology), a public school (Stani Memorial
Public School) and a degree college (St. Xavier’s College) in the
rural campus.
The College is promoted by the Roman Catholic Missionary Cangan
Family from South India. The founder, Dr. Thomas Cangan was a
visionary Christian, whose mission was creation, dissemination and
extension of knowledge. The unshaken faith in the secular values
of India is evident from the equal importance given to all major
religions. The academic performance of the students is given due
importance. The overall personality development of each student is
brought about by conducting various competitions in quiz,
elocution, dramatics, games & sports and cultural activities
throughout the year.
